Introducing these handsome gentlemen
Cows are such gentle creatures, steers in particular are forgotten as sentient creatures, yet they have wonderful natures.
Caesar
Caesar just glows with a shimmer and with his personality.
He is the communicator, always up for a mooing session to make sure you know he is talking to you.
Loves eating carrots and apples from your hand and loves a stroke and a scratch.
Murray Grey
Fringey
Fringey McFringe is a gentleman. Always watching and quietly waiting.
He enjoys a scratch, is friendly but also a little shy.
He was originally called Rio, but his unique hairstyle when he was young, soon led to a change of name.

Itsa
Itsa was quite bolshy when he first arrived, did not like or understand humans and would head shake and push, which was quite disconcerting.
This all changed when he tried it once more and in return I surprised him with a Hakka dance, to which he ran across the paddock and settled down ever since.

Yoyo
Yoyo is a determined and smart old steer.
He was brought to us by a well-meaning person, who had seen him emaciated, weak and shrunken through lack of nutrition.
When he arrived he barely had the strength to eat.
Over time, he got stronger, put on weight and in time became the herd leader due to his incredible intelligence.
Red Devon
Jordy
Jordy is the biggest of the boys and very much the herd defender.
Will see of any feral predators that may find their way into the paddock.
He is friendly but not one for touch. He has a gentle side, but doesn’t like to show it too often.
Murray Grey
Matchu
Machu is Jordy’s brother but slightly smaller, but just as strong.
He has mellowed over the years and now enjoys the odd stroke of his nose, coupled with a head bounce for fun.
He knows I can understand when he is asking for something and once ran up to the house to alert me to some dange the guinea fowl were in with some eagles. A good guard-cow!
Murray Grey
Taj
Taj is the smallest of the herd, but in saying that he is still very big and broad.
He is friendly, but not one for touch. He is quite shy, but will still settle down beside yo in the paddock to chew the cud peacefully.
Murray Grey
Wally
Wally is a beautiful boy, inside and out. He is gentle in nature, has a unique sense of fun and truly loves to interact with humans.
When he and his brothers jumped off the truck on arrival, he was the first to stop running, trun around and come towards us for a hello.
He loves a massage when his brothers aren’t watching!!
